Yet, it springs from ectopic liver tissue (EL)—hepatic parenchyma anatomically detached from the main hepatic mass. Due to its scarcity, EHCC is difficult to identify preoperatively. Consequently, its distribution across populations, optimal management, and long-term outcomes remain poorly mapped.
