Their responsibilities go far beyond medication dispensing, encompassing patient counseling, adherence promotion, monitoring for drug interactions, evaluating therapeutic outcomes, and assisting in symptom control—while maintaining compassion and patient confidentiality. However, they encounter obstacles such as poor adherence, communication difficulties, and the persistence of social stigma. Pharmacists also navigate complex medication interactions, particularly those involving psychiatric drugs and dietary supplements. Within hospital settings, clinical pharmacists contribute by optimizing pharmacotherapy, tracking treatment responses, and providing education on psychotropic medication management. This review underscores the importance of advanced, targeted training programs to strengthen pharmacists’ competencies in mental health care. Countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia have already established such initiatives, whereas Bulgaria is currently integrating mental health services into pharmacy practice, thereby broadening pharmacists’ roles and enhancing public understanding. Collectively, these developments demonstrate the indispensable impact of pharmacists in advancing mental health outcomes and overcoming existing barriers. %U https://galaxypub.co/article/pharmacists-contributions-to-the-management-of-mental-health-conditions-a-comprehensive-review-x9osara9q2gkpq8
