Compared to previous editions, the 2020 version demonstrates notable enhancements, emphasizing scientific validity, broad applicability, practical operability, and sustainable development. This edition expands the use of sophisticated analytical technologies, strengthens methods for detecting external contaminants in traditional Chinese medicines, and aligns technical criteria more closely with global standards. By providing updated methodological and technical guidance, it supports the safe and effective regulation of pharmaceuticals in China, promotes adoption of advanced technologies, improves quality control, and reinforces regulatory measures.
