Abstract

The primary obstacle to implementing pharmaceutical care was identified as limited access to patient medical records (90.6%). Most participants (93.0%) supported the development of a website offering pharmaceutical care services, and 45.1% indicated they would be willing to pay for such a service if available. Additionally, a large majority (89.8%) agreed that establishing a comprehensive patient data database could reduce medical errors. Evaluation of the four domains of pharmaceutical care—technical, psychosocial, communication, and administrative—among students and pharmacists revealed weaknesses across all areas. The findings underscore that inadequate documentation of patient medical information significantly increases the risk of medical complications and represents the most commonly cited barrier to integrating pharmaceutical care. This highlights the potential of telemedicine and the creation of specialized websites and database repositories to maintain continuity of care, even during pandemics.
