Galaxy Publication invites accomplished researchers, clinicians, and academic professionals to contribute as Guest Editors for Special Issues published across its portfolio of peer-reviewed journals in medicine, nursing, and the health sciences.
Guest Editors fulfill a critical editorial function in defining the scientific focus of a Special Issue, identifying emerging and clinically relevant research themes, and facilitating scholarly communication within their respective areas of specialization. All manuscripts submitted to Special Issues undergo the journal's standard double-blind peer-review process, ensuring methodological rigor, transparency, and the integrity of the published research.
Operating in close collaboration with the journal's Editorial Board and Editor-in-Chief, Guest Editors are responsible for the scientific planning and successful execution of the Special Issue. Their responsibilities include delineating the thematic and methodological scope of the issue, soliciting contributions from leading investigators in the field, and overseeing the editorial workflow in accordance with established ethical and publication standards, including those set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
A Special Issue typically comprises a curated collection of original research articles, systematic reviews, and/or clinical studies addressing a specific, clinically or scientifically significant topic. Each issue aims to provide a comprehensive and authoritative synthesis of current evidence, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration within the global research and clinical community.
Applications for Guest Editorship are evaluated based on the scientific relevance and timeliness of the proposed topic, the qualifications and research expertise of the prospective Guest Editor(s), and the alignment of the proposal with the aims and scope of the journal. Interested applicants are invited to submit a brief proposal outlining the proposed topic, its scientific rationale, and its anticipated contribution to the field.
