All manuscripts submitted to Galaxy Publication undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring that neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other's identities. Manuscripts must be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and not previously published. The entire process runs through a secure online submission and review system.
Initial editorial pre-check
Immediately upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) or a designated Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript's relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with preparation guidelines, ethical requirements (ethics approval, informed consent where applicable), and runs an initial plagiarism/similarity screening. Manuscripts that fail to meet these requirements may be desk rejected or returned to authors for correction.
Reviewer assignment
Manuscripts that pass the pre-check are assigned to a qualified Associate Editor or subject expert, who assesses the manuscript's academic quality and methodology, evaluates its suitability for external review, and selects at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
External peer review
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript's originality and contribution, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, data analysis, and clarity. Reviewer and author identities remain strictly confidential throughout the process.
Final decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer reports and editorial recommendations. Acceptance generally requires at least two favorable reviews; in case of conflicting recommendations, a third independent reviewer may be consulted.
